I got this error and I solved it by installing the program with the Huawei Modem connected. Probably Windows doesn't install the proper drivers by itself, and if you install the program without the modem connected, it doesn't know which drivers to install and doesn't install any. Thanks a lot for the advice :) Just for future reference…
